10 Square-meter solar water heating installation

The Carmelite Nuns moved to the community of Malahide in 1975 into a building which is now known as ‘The Carmelite Monastery of St. Joseph’.
Based on a survey conducted by Genersys and an assessment and analysis of the existing and projected DHW demand, it was concluded that a 10 square meter Genersys solar panel system would be required. This 5-panel system provides heating to a 1000L DHW dual-coil SS cylinder in conjunction with a dedicated gas boiler.
The complete system was installed in 3 days by the Genersys commercial solar water heating installation team.
The panels are recessed on a single A-Frame bank at the rear of the building on a flat-roof. This location was chosen:
1. To reduce the visual impact of the panels on the structure
2. To ensure that the panel orientation was optimized
3. To minimize the solar pipe-run to the calorifier.
In this way, the Genersys solar water heating system performance has been optimized and now that the solar water heating system is commissioned, the Carmelite nuns are reaping the benefits of a professionally designed and expertly installed Genersys solar water heating system.
Yet another successful commercial solar water heating installation by the Genersys Ireland team.
