Solar Panel Installation
Minimal Disruption
Our installation team’s top priority is to make sure that the Genersys solar heating system is introduced into your home with minimal disruption to you. Most residential installations are completed on the same day that our highly skilled solar panel installation team arrive.
The first step in ordering the system is to get in touch with one of our professional sales advisers who will help you to size the correct solar water heating solution for your specific requirements. They will also address any questions or concerns that you may have relating to the installation, the everyday operation of the system and indeed the savings which the system will help you realise.
On-roof versus in-roof
When considering whether to go for an on-roof or an integrated in-roof solar panel installation, consider the following points, and contact one of our sales team who will be glad to assist you with any queries.
ON-ROOF
The panel is fitted on top of the slates of an existing roof, using special brackets.
- Quicker & cheaper to install
- Doesn’t require slate removal
- Panel not flush with roof slates
- Extra loading on roof structure
- Ideal for retrofit to existing roof
IN-ROOF (INTEGRATED)
Slates have to be removed and the panel is fitted into the existing roof structure.
- Panels flush with existing tiles
- More elegant looking solution
- Ideal for new builds
- Existing roof covering removed
- High quality flashing kit
Fixing and fitting panels
There are a wide variety of methods of fixing the panels to each roof and Genersys prides itself in the extensive array of standard fittings for almost every roof or wall fixing application.
For example, standard panel fixing kits are available for a slate roof, a concrete tile roof, a flat roof - even gable-mount panel fixings are available. A wide variety of quality flashing kits for integrating our panels as low-profile systems into the roof tile or slate structure are also available.
To compliment our quality panels, we utilize quality system components and fittings from high quality copper and stainless steel piping, through to solar pumps and controllers. Properly sized expansion vessels and safety pressure release valves are integral components of all Genersys solar water heating installations.
Meeting your specific needs
Our professional team will also recommend a solar cylinder that meets your specific installation requirements in terms of sizing, budget and DHW demand. Our cylinders can be standard copper dual-coil solar cylinders through to top-of-the-range stainless steel cylinders that come with a 25 yr warranty, have much superior heat retention and promote heat stratification.
Again, our Genersys team will discuss these options with you and will help you size and specify a complete solar water heating system that:
meets your projected domestic hot water demand;
is within your budget;
will integrate seamlessly with your existing or planned heating systems.
Quality Assured
Before the installation is considered complete, our engineers will conduct a series of tests to make sure that the system is functioning properly, and that it is set for optimal performance within your own home. They will also show you the main safety features and operational controls of the system
